Sonic X is a Japanese anime series produced by TMS Entertainment between 2003 and 2006. Designed to introduce Sonic to a worldwide audience via television, the series features the adventures of Sonic and his friends who are accidentally transported to planet Earth . There, they meet Chris Thorndyke , a young human who will help them fight Dr. Eggman and return to their world. Synopsis
A Chaos Control triggered by Sonic transports several characters from his universe (Tails, Amy, Knuckles, Cream, Rouge, Shadow…) to an alternate version of Earth. There they meet Chris Thorndyke , a human teenager who offers them refuge. Together, they confront Dr. Eggman , determined to dominate this new world, while searching for the Chaos Emeralds in hope of returning home.
Across its 78 episodes, the series adapts several story arcs from the video games while introducing original stories, including the famous Metarex Galactic Arc . The series skillfully blends fast-paced action sequences, humorous moments, and deeper emotional passages, particularly around the character of Chris and the dilemma of friendship between different worlds.
