Boutique Sonic is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online commerce platform that allows us to sell Boutique Sonic products and services to you.
Your data is stored through Shopify's storage and databases. In the general Shopify application, your data is stored on a secure server behind a firewall.
For payment, if you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, Shopify will store your credit card information. This information is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction information is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your order. After that, your purchase transaction information is deleted. We therefore do not have direct access to the information you used to complete your order. This information travels through Shopify and payment processors.
Indeed, all direct payment gateways comply with the PCI-DSS standard. This payment card industry security standard, PCI-DSS in English for Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard, is established by the five major card networks (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover Card and JCB). These standards ensure the secure processing of credit card data during your purchases on Boutique Sonic and by its service providers.

Please remember that some of these third-party providers may be located in or have facilities that are located a different jurisdiction than either you or us. So, if you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that provider or its facilities are located, for example.
As an example, if you are located in Canada and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway located in the United States, then your personal information used in completing that transaction may be subject to disclosure under United States legislation, such as the Patriot Act.
