Chao's Egg System
Contrary to what is sometimes read, the game does not contain 39 eggs: there are 100 Chao eggs to collect in the adventure, with hatching one of the 39 Chao that come from the eggs.
Hatching happens over time (not with the number of steps): you must continue to play while the egg is working, and you can even leave the console on if you want to wait.
Cheese is a special case: it cannot hatch from an egg and is obtained separately via the mission linked to Cream ( Green Hill Zone ).

Chance and RNG of hatching
The Chao obtained upon hatching depends on chance . Many players save before checking the hatching in the Chao Garden menu so they can restart if the result is not the desired Chao.

Trading and leveling up
Choopaloo can be leveled up to level 3 via wireless trading . To reach the maximum level , it must be traded with two different people : each trade increases its level and improves its XP bonus .

Game context
