VillainSonic UndergroundDr. Robotnik
A calculating wolf and a gullible brute hunt the hedgehog triplets on behalf of Dr. Robotnik in Sonic Underground, a series broadcast in France under the title “Sonic le Rebelle”. Former bounty hunters pressed into service, Sleet and Dingo play the archetypal brain and muscle across the forty episodes of the single season. Their signature gadget is a remote control, operated by Sleet alone, that turns his partner into a motorbike, a snake, a carpet or a chili dog stand. Voiced by Maurice LaMarche and Peter Wilds, never defeated, they remain absent from the main video games.
A cunning wolf and a kind-hearted brute, a brains-and-brawn duo working for Robotnik – and a remote control that transforms the latter into anything at the touch of a button. Sleet and Dingo are the comical henchmen of Sonic Underground, who hunt down the triplets… and almost always fail.
Summary
Who are Sleet and Dingo?
Sleet and Dingo form the secondary antagonist duo in Sonic Underground (1999), the series known in France as "Sonic le Rebelle". They are two former independent bounty hunters, forcibly enlisted by Dr. Robotnik to capture the three royal hedgehogs and find Queen Aleena.
They embody the comedic archetype of "the brains and the b brawn," adapted as a wolf and a dingo. And like the rest of the series, they are exclusive to this alternate continuity: they are not found in the games or other Sonic cartoons.

Sleet, the Brains
Sleet is a tall and lanky wolf, with very dark blue-gray fur in the series (he only turns orange in the Archie comics). He is the brains of the duo: cunning, manipulative, opportunistic, sarcastic, and calculating.
In front of Robotnik, he acts like a sycophant to avoid robotization; as soon as Robotnik's back is turned, he mocks him and would betray him for profit. Above all, Sleet treats his partner Dingo with constant contempt: he insults him, exploits him, and literally uses him as a tool — in the literal sense, as we will see.

Dingo is, as his name suggests, a dingo — a huge, ultra-muscular orange brute, the strength of the duo. He is stupid, slow, and gullible, but very resilient and often endearing, with an almost childlike enthusiasm.
Two details add to his charm. First, an unexplained mystery: his hands and left leg (from knee to foot) have a mechanical appearance, with the series never explaining why. Second, a recurring comic element: Dingo has a crush on Princess Sonia — who finds him repulsive and uses this weakness to trap the duo and escape.
The Shapeshifting Remote Control
The duo's signature gadget is a shapeshifting remote control held by Sleet. With a simple press, it transforms Dingo into any object or form: motorcycle, carpet, carnivorous plant, snake, basket, fly, baby, chili dog stand, or even a copy of another person — especially for setting traps or infiltrating.
The key point not to misunderstand: it is Dingo's "power," but Dingo does not control it — and he hates it. Sleet is the one who activates and chooses the form. The brain uses his partner's body as a living toolbox.

Continuity, Voices, and Legacy
Sleet and Dingo are present in all 40 episodes of the single season, and are never definitively defeated: the series ends on a cliffhanger. In the original version, one detail is often misreported: the two are not voiced by the same actor. Sleet is played by Maurice LaMarche (in an acknowledged nod to actor Peter Lorre), while Dingo is voiced by Peter Wilds.
Outside the series, the duo has had only rare re-appearances — a crossover in the Archie comics and a derived portable LCD game — but never in the main video games. They remain one of the most memorable villain duos from "Sonic le Rebelle."
