Let's correct a very widespread misconception here: Silver Sonic is not the final boss of Sonic 2 8-bit. He is the sixth and penultimate boss, faced at the end of the Scrambled Egg Zone, the sixth of the seven zones in the game.

The duel's setting is memorable: you emerge from a warp tube at high speed into a vast cavern completely devoid of rings—in other words, any contact is fatal. After him, Robotnik himself awaits the player in the Crystal Egg Zone, for the true final confrontation.

Three confusions to avoid
